Designed for robust half-duplex differential data transmission, this module converts standard microcontroller UART TTL serial signals (RX/TX) into noise-immune RS-485 signals. It enables microcontrollers to transmit data over extreme distances—up to 1,200 meters (4,000 feet)—making it ideal for industrial control, building automation, and long-range sensor networks.

Equipped with an onboard 2-pin screw terminal block for RS-485 differential lines (A and B), standard 2.54mm header pins for logic wiring, and integrated directional control inputs (DE/RE), the MAX485 effortlessly connects Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi boards to industrial Modbus systems and multi-drop RS-485 networks.
