The PYAI-K210 Development Kit (Model 01S001) by 01 Studio is a specialized hardware platform designed for edge artificial intelligence, computer vision, and embedded audio processing. Built around the Kendryte K210 dual-core 64-bit RISC-V processor operating at 400 MHz, the board features a dedicated hardware Neural Processing Unit (KPU) capable of delivering 0.8 TOPS of AI acceleration. Programmed primarily via MaixPy (a port of MicroPython), the kit allows developers and makers to deploy real-time machine learning models—such as face detection, object classification, and QR code scanning—directly on low-power hardware without relying on cloud connectivity.
As 01 Studio’s primary baseline kit, the 01S001 package serves as an all-in-one ecosystem for rapid prototyping. It arrives bundled with an OV2640 2-Megapixel DVP camera module, a 2.4-inch SPI color TFT LCD display, and an external ESP8266 expansion card to supply Wi-Fi connectivity to the offline K210 processor. Equipped with an onboard battery management circuit, MicroSD card slot, and a Type-C CH552 program flasher, this platform offers a complete hardware loop for capturing video, executing neural network inference, and rendering real-time visuals out of the box.
