Waveshare ESP32-S3-Pico Development Board
High-Performance Dual-Core Wi-Fi & Bluetooth MCU in a Raspberry Pi Pico Form Factor
The Waveshare ESP32-S3-Pico is a high-performance development board built around Espressif's ESP32-S3R2 system-on-chip, specifically styled to mirror the physical layout and pinout of the Raspberry Pi Pico. Powered by a dual-core Xtensa 32-bit LX7 processor running at up to 240 MHz, the board combines compute performance with native 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 (LE) connectivity. Its mechanical design features castellated edge modules, enabling both breadboard prototyping and direct surface-mounting onto custom carrier boards.
By matching the standard Raspberry Pi Pico header footprint, this board bridges the gap between the Pico expansion module ecosystem and the networking, vector-acceleration, and edge-AI capabilities of the ESP32-S3. It includes hardware acceleration for neural network tasks like speech recognition and basic image processing, alongside support for C/C++ (ESP-IDF), MicroPython, and the Arduino IDE.
