Waveshare Luckfox Pico Plus Micro Linux Board
High-Efficiency RV1103 Vision AI Development Board with Onboard NPU and Ethernet
The Waveshare Luckfox Pico Plus is a ultra-compact, high-performance micro Linux development board powered by the Rockchip RV1103 System-on-Chip (SoC). Designed specifically for edge AI and computer vision projects, it combines an ARM Cortex-A7 processor, a dedicated 0.5 TOPS Neural Processing Unit (NPU), and an integrated Image Signal Processor (ISP) into a tiny Raspberry Pi Pico-style form factor. Whether you are building smart IP cameras, local object recognition systems, or automated vision sensors, this board delivers real-time AI capabilities without requiring a bulky, high-power single-board computer.
Unlike standard bare-metal microcontrollers, the Luckfox Pico Plus runs a lightweight embedded Linux OS (via Buildroot) alongside a auxiliary RISC-V MCU core for ultra-fast boot times and low-power control. Equipped with 64MB of DDR2 RAM, 128MB of onboard SPI NAND Flash, a MIPI CSI camera interface, and an RJ45 Ethernet port, it provides a complete hardware pipeline for capturing, processing, and transmitting visual data directly on the device.
Key Highlights
Integrated Vision AI: Onboard 0.5 TOPS NPU supports INT4, INT8, and INT16 inference models, making it capable of running lightweight neural networks like YOLO and MobileNet locally.
Camera-Ready Hardware: Features a dedicated MIPI CSI interface and an integrated ISP supporting up to 4MP resolution with wide dynamic range and noise reduction.
Built-in Networking: Includes an onboard RJ45 10/100M Ethernet port for fast, reliable IP connectivity and video streaming.
Expandable Storage & Flash: Pre-loaded with 128MB SPI NAND Flash and features a MicroSD card slot for additional storage and system images.
