Compact ASK/OOK 433.92MHz Radio Frequency Link Kit for Arduino & Microcontrollers

The 433MHz Wireless Receiving and Transmitting Module Set (YXA483) is an ultra-compact, cost-effective RF link pair consisting of a square transmitter board (FS1000A) and a rectangular super-regenerative receiver board. Operating on the license-free 433.92 MHz ISM radio band, this set uses Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK / OOK) modulation to transmit short-range digital data without complex network overhead. Driven by low-power operation, the transmitter accepts supply voltages between 3.5V and 12V DC—where higher voltage yields stronger signal output—while the receiver runs on a stable 5V DC supply. It is widely utilized in DIY microelectronics for simple wireless tasks such as remote control keyfobs, garage door triggers, wireless doorbells, and basic telemetry systems.

Designed for seamless integration with microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi, the module set relies on basic GPIO pin connections for DATA, VCC, and GND. Communication is straightforwardly implemented using popular open-source libraries such as VirtualWire or RadioHead, which handle encoding and decoding of serial data packets. Out of the box, the pair achieves an line-of-sight range of roughly 20 to 50 meters; however, soldering a simple 17.3 cm helical wire antenna to the dedicated "ANT" pad on both boards can expand line-of-sight transmission distances up to 100 meters or more.
