ODROID-UPS Kit for M1S
Uninterrupted Power Supply
The UPS Kit (Uninterrupted Power Supply) is custom-designed exclusively for use with the ODROID-M1S. It features an 18650 rechargeable Li-Ion battery holder, a charger control IC, and a 5Volt Boost DCDC module. Additionally, the board includes a small MCU responsible for monitoring the battery level and facilitating communication with the ODROID-M1S board via a USB interface.
In the event of an AC power outage, the UPS continues to provide power to the ODROID-M1S boards using the battery backup.
The M1S-UPS is equipped with a USB serial port (ttyACM) for communication, enabling it to initiate the shutdown process by sending a low battery warning. This capability significantly mitigates the risk of data loss resulting from sudden power interruptions. Moreover, upon the restoration of the AC power source, the UPS resumes supplying power to the ODROID-M1S and automatically triggers a power-on event.
