GY-26 Digital Electronic Compass Sensor Module
Heading sensor with UART and I2C output
The GY-26 is a low-cost digital compass module that uses a magnetoresistive sensor to measure the Earth's magnetic field and output a heading (azimuth) angle. An on-board microcontroller handles calibration and hard-iron compensation and returns the heading over UART or I2C, so it is easy to add to robots, navigation and orientation projects.
Key Features:
Heading accuracy better than 5° when level, 0.5° resolution
UART (TTL, 9600 baud) and I2C interfaces
Normal, continuous and calibration modes
Hard-iron calibration and adjustable declination angle
Specifications:
Supply voltage: 2.6V – 5V (3.3V typical)
Magnetic range: ±2 gauss
Operating temperature: 0 – 70°C
Size: approx. 26.5 × 26.5 × 11.5mm
